Behaviour Change Wheel reference tool:
from Behavioural Diagnosis to BC Techniques
We are currently creating a free and open-access Behavioural Strategy case as a Miro board that aims to help people understand how to apply the Behaviour Change Wheel, COM-B model and behavioral insights.
As a part of that process, I have also created a Miro board that brings together different elements of the Behaviour Change Wheel by connecting barriers from the Behavioural Diagnosis stage to Intervention Strategies and Implementation Strategies, as well as Behaviour Change Techniques. This is the first iteration that is directly based on the content in the Behaviour Change Wheel book, the Theoretical Domains Framework and the Behaviour Change Techniques. The goal is to create an accessible, free to use reference tool for behaviour change practitioners and it will be made open-access once finalised by the end of September. The launch will also include a live webinar with the opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback.
Can't wait that long? Request early access!
The original work and examples used in this board are largely based on public health behaviour change - however, the range of appropriate BCTs varies by application domain, so later on we plan to develop versions that are more tailored to different application areas such as digital product design. If you would like to be involved in developing these applied reference tools for our practitioner community, please get in touch.
